This World War II Nazi item is from a German SS Field Hospital unit, and is a surgical pan/sterilizing tray used in battlefield-site makeshift mobile hospitals. It has the "SS" runes (lighting bolts symbol) on one side of the pan to indicate that it was for an SS Unit. There are signs of battlefield use in that the porcelain has some chips and minor bangs but overall this is a nice example of the type and is a quite rare relic from Japan's World War II Axis ally Nazi Germany.
